“Happiness is an inside job”
-William Arthur Ward
Hello my lovelies!
Despite being on a pretty tight budge due to current events going in my life, I did manage to pick up some new goodies while busily squandering away my paycheck. It may not be much, but it is something and I am very excited to share my initial thoughts with all of you in today’s blog post!
Let’s Get Started:
Dermalogica Multi-Active Toner –
Since I have started working with Dermalogica through my job, I have really decided to take on learning about and using their product on my own skin. While I have worked with this toner on clients, I had yet to give it a try on my own skin. So far, I am as impressed with the way it hydrates and balances my skin as I am when I use it on clients. I also love the sizing of the product, as a little goes a long way yet you certainly get your money’s worth.
Dermalogica AgeBright Clearing Serum –
This is a newer addition to the Dermalogica family, and as the Dermalogica skincare specialist, I felt it was my civic duty to test this newbie out. As an adult acne sufferer with some fairly noticeable post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, this serum is specifically meant to both combat existing acne and fade those pesky dark spots. After using this for about two weeks, I have noticed a serious reduction in the intensity of my dark spots and love its healing ability for my active breakouts.
Dermalogica Active Moist –
I am a HUGE fan of active moist for many of my normal to oily clients, and it turns out it works just as well on my own skin for the same purpose. I am currently loving that this moisturizer provides adequate hydration to my skin without feeling heavy or greasy, and keeps me looking healthy and shine free all day.
L’Oréal Infallible 24 Hour Fresh Wear Foundation –
Unlike most people, my face tends to be much drier during the summer time, despite the heat and humidity during this time of year. As such, I tend to seek out more lightweight and hydrating foundations that still have a long wear finish. This foundation has a much more watery consistency and maintains the hydration I need, but it also covers less of my scarring and breakouts. As of right now, I am very torn on this foundation as it does have pros and cons, but I often feel this way about most foundations and generally need more time to fully develop my thoughts.
Maybelline The City Bronzer “100” –
I bought this bronzer essentially expecting to love it, and fortunately I was not left disappointed. This bronzer is FINALLY a drugstore buy that does not come off as straight up orange on my pale skin, and the pigmentation actually packs a punch too. I am so far super happy with this bronzer and am glad to be able to use it in lieu of some of my more expensive bronzer faves while I am on a budget.
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil “Whiskey” –
I am a pretty die-hard fan of UD’s eye pencils on a good day, and this brown beauty has also managed to impress me yet again. I won’t go into much detail on my feelings toward this pencil lest it turn into a full on review, but just know that my initial first impression is VERY positive.
Dose Of Colors “Sweet N’ Sassy”-
As if I do not own enough lip colors, I recently decided to visit Ulta’s flagship store in Chicago during a work trip, and this store in particular sold Dose of Colors. I have always been curious about this brand and wanted to know if their liquid lipsticks were worth all of the hype they have received. While I have only worn it one time so far, I found this formula to be super comfortable on the lips for a long day of wear, and the color was absolutely beautiful and vibrant.
That’s all I have for you guys today. Please remember to like, comment, and subscribe, it really helps me out. Also don’t forget to have a fabulous Friday!
