March Empties

Hello my lovelies!

It’s me, no post Nancy back with the inconsistent scheduling. I will definitely let you guys in on more of what is going on in my life currently, but I would much rather save that for another Recap post than spilling it all out right here. Either way, I promise I am trying my hardest to get back to being consistent, I just need a little more time to reach that goal, so thanks for bearing with me!

Let’s Get Started:

The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA –

I have an original, more in depth review for this product here, so I won’t get into too much detail. Overall I found this product fairly underwhelming, but in comparison to my Good Genes price point and the fact that I am on a VERY tight budget right now, I have decided that this is my best option if I want to stay in the lactic acid family, and have officially switched over to this exfoliant. Is it my favorite? No. Does it do what it needs to do at the very least? Yes.

The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% –

I also included a longer review of this product here. This serum did absolutely nothing for me, which made me very happy that the price point is so cheap because I feel a lot less bad about ordering it for that reason. As an esthetician, I am very aware of what ingredients can and will work best for different types of acne, and I ordered this product knowing that Niacinamides tend to work well with my Papule-presenting acne and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Unfortunately, this serum did next to nothing for either of the concerns I listed, and I am more than happy to donate the bottle to the recycling bin and find a better replacement.

Sephora Collection Matte Perfection Powder Foundation “Porcelain Pink” –

You all know by now that I am a ride or die M.A.C Studiofix Powder user, but when you are suddenly forced on a tight budget but looking for the same results, you have to branch out. I have not tried many Sephora brand items, but saw this little compact calling my name with its fairly decent shade range and matte finish. I found this powder easily comparable to my Studiofix powder, and love the coverage it offers. Plus, it’s nice to be able to find a full coverage powder that is not four shades darker than your actual skin tone.

Would I repurchase: Yes!

Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder “Golden Light” –

This bronzer is my baby. It was THE first bronzer I had ever purchased (I know, gross), and technically, the compact is not even empty; I just figured it needed to go after hitting mostly pan and keeping it for FIVE YEARS. You all know that I have an affinity for my bronzer helmet and warm cheekbones for my pale complexion, and this goes to show how long this bronzer actually lasts despite heavy usage. I am certainly sad to see my beloved bronzer go, but I am also excited to try out new things. But who knows? Why change a good thing?

Would I repurchase: Yes!

L’Oréal Brow Stylist Definer “Brunette” –

Funnily enough, I only picked up this brow pencil because my Target was out of my usual NYX pick and I was crunched for time. I figured it would be a very ok pencil, nothing to write home about, but it would get the job done until I needed my original replacement. Turns out, I love this brow pencil. The color is absolutely perfect for my medium brown roots, it glides beautifully, and the formula actually lasts a very nice amount of time for a product that I used almost every day. I still love my NYX Micro Brow Pencil, but L’Oréal has definitely found a place in my heart.

Would I repurchase: Yes!

That’s all I have for you guys today. Please remember to like, comment, and subscribe, it really helps me out. Also don’t forget to have a wonderful Wednesday!

Stay beautiful!
