November Empties

“To be happy you must be your own sunshine”

-C.E. Jerningham

Hello my lovelies!

I can’t believe it’s already December. I knew it was coming based off of the Christmas music blaring in the mall by November, but this year has truly flown by. I strangely feel more excited than ever about the holidays, but that could be due to aging (ha).

I don’t have a lot of products to talk about for this month’s batch of empties, but I have products nonetheless. Grab some wine, maybe a snack, and keep reading to learn more about what I’ve used up this past month.

Let’s Get Started:

Sunday Riley Good Genes All-In-One Lactic Acid Treatment –

You all know by now that I absolutely love this chemical exfoliant, even at a price tag of $158.00. This product has done so much for my skin and the vascular scarring that I have from old acne, and was fantastic in combination with the Accutane. Unfortunately, I heard a rumor that Sunday Riley will be switching over the active AHA from Lactic to Glycolic, which is not an ideal AHA for my skin type. While I love this product and am totally happy in justifying the price, I will have to find a new and equally effective alternative for my exfoliation product.

Would I repurchase: No!

Burt’s Bees Brightening Skin Perfecting Serum –

I originally was not the biggest fan of this product, but I’ve come around to the fact that it has done a lot for me. This has been a great product in combination with my Lactic Acid exfoliant in aiding to the scar fading process, but it definitely took a lot of time for this product to kick in fully. Although this is definitely not a fast results product (this was the second bottle), I think that for $14.00, it can be a great brightening serum to add into your daily skincare routine.

Would I repurchase: Yes!

The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil For Body And Hair –

While this stuff does cost a pretty penny at $25.00, I think it’s well worth the price tag. Body oils are best used immediately after a shower, when skin is at its peak moisture levels. This product serves to add extra moisture as well as seal in what you already have naturally. I adore the smell of argan oil and love the healing properties that it has for skin, so this product is definitely a huge win in my book.

Would I repurchase: Yes!

M.A.C Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation “NC15” –

You all know how I feel about this powder already so I won’t go into too much detail, but this will always be an all-time favorite for me. I love the matte finish of this powder, the coverage is fantastic, and it dramatically increases the longevity of my makeup throughout the day.

Would I repurchase: Yes!

NYX Micro Brow Pencil “Chocolate” –

I’ve used different colors of these pencils in the past, and I’m still convinced they’re one of the absolute best in the game. I would happily pick these up any day over a Brow Wiz, mostly because they last forever. I was blessed with great brows, but that doesn’t mean I don’t generously fill them in when I’m doing a full face of makeup. I’m able to make these pencils last far longer than any other brand I’ve tried, and that’s what keeps me coming back.

Would I repurchase: Yes!

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara –

Also a product that you already know I have major love for, the only difference being that this one came in a limited edition packaging. Admittedly, I kept this mascara around far longer than what is recommended and healthy, but that’s just a testament to how long this formula lasts. This is also a ride or die product of mine that I truly feel I cannot live without in my makeup collection.

Would I repurchase: Yes!

That’s all I have for you guys today. Please remember to like, comment, and subscribe, it really helps me out. Also don’t forget to have a magical Monday!

Stay beautiful!
