A Realistic 5 Minute Makeup Routine

“Happiness is a habit – cultivate it”

Hello my lovelies!

I know that by now, a lot of us have started to master our makeup routines to make them as quick as possible, whether you’re a student, full time worker, or a stay at home parent. While a lot of Youtube videos make it seem as if you can complete a full face in under 5 minutes, that isn’t a very realistic take for us mundane folk. Today I want to show you my 5 minute makeup routine that is fresh faced but easy to achieve with only 4 products, so you’re ready to run out the door and start your day on good footing.

Let’s Get Started:

Step One: The Base

Arguably, our base makeup takes the largest chunk of our time when putting on a full face, and it’s no different in a quick routine. Instead of using a foundation and brush or sponge, stick with a BB cream and your hands. I used my CliniqueFit workout makeup on my fingers to spread and blend the product evenly. This alone saves you a good 3-5 minutes in your routine.

Step Two: The Eyebrows

Even if you think your brows are lacking, you don’t need to get out the pencils and pomades. A tinted brow gel like the Maybelline Tattoo Brow Gel is a great way to give yourself full brows without the painstaking effort. If you already have full brows, a clear brow gel will work nicely in this step.

Step Three: Eyeliner

A nude or white eyeliner placed on the waterline can drastically help to open up the eyes and give off a more fresh and bright appearance. I love using my Rimmel Exaggerate Eye Definer because it stays in my waterline all day and opens up my eyes to help me look refreshed and awake.

Step Four: Mascara

Mascara is the final step that helps to tie everything together and complete your simple and quick look. I prefer to spend most of my time on the lashes to help me look more awake and put together. Instead of a heavier and more dramatic mascara, I opt for something lighter, like my NYX Worth The Hype Mascara. It’s easy to apply, packs a punch, and ties my entire face together.

Step Five (Optional): Lips

If you want to look just a little more done up for a lunch date or even just because, adding lipstick can take this makeup routine from simple to elevated. If you want to maintain the fresh look still, go for a light lipstick and gloss as I have here, using the Maybelline Color Sensational Matte Lipstick in Almond Rose, combined with my Marc Jacobs Hi Shine Lip Lacquer in Allow Me.

All of these steps will take you 5 minutes or less without sacrificing the feeling of a full makeup look. You can wear this any day, practically anywhere, and feel confident in your face without all of the effort.

That’s all I have for you guys today. Please remember to like, comment, and subscribe, it really helps me out. Also don’t forget to have a fantastic Friday!

Stay beautiful!

Sorry I hit send by accident! I was going to say that even on my 4am shifts when I try to be quick it takes me at least 10 minutes. Love the look you did!
