January Digs and Duds

Hello my lovelies!

It’s that time for another monthly Digs and Duds! If you’ll notice, I did end up skipping December due to the fact that I didn’t have enough products to really talk about. This time around, I’ve got plenty and am excited to share them with you!

Let’s get started:

First Aid Beauty Triple Remedy A.M. Gel Cream – I don’t have a ton of trouble with my under eyes so I’m not going to say that this worked any miracles, but I do really enjoy the texture of this eye cream. It also helps my makeup go on smoothly and prevents noticeable creasing for a longer amount of time. I also love the overnight balm, so it’s no surprise that this became a favorite.

Revlon PhotoReady Insta-Filter Foundation – In my opinion, I think this is one of the best foundations at the drugstore. I look completely airbrushed when I wear it, and it’s actually a decent color match for me. The lasting power is wonderful and it helps keep a lot of my oiliness in check. The only thing I don’t love is the sponge applicator, but I also had no intention of ever trying to use it to begin with. The applicator is just a small hiccup on the road compared to the actual quality of the foundation.

Urban Decay All Nighter Waterproof Full Coverage Concealer – This is actually better than Tarte Shape Tape by leaps and bounds. I’ve learned to really like the fact that this concealer dries down a little quicker, as it tends to stick down much longer for this reason. I don’t crease under my eyes with this concealer unless I’ve been wearing my makeup for a particularly extended amount of time, and it does a fantastic job of covering up my dark circles and highlighting my features.

Urban Decay Beached Bronzer – This bronzer made me a little nervous with how orange it is, but it actually comes out beautifully on the skin. I do use this bronzer when I want a more warm toned look specifically, and it always comes out making my skin look great. It also doesn’t appear muddy and does not cake up at the sides of my face.

Maybelline Total Temptation Eyebrow Definer Pencil – I do really like this pencil and I like the angular tip. It reminds me of the ABH Brow Definer Pencil but smaller, and therefore easier to use. The only thing that bothers me is the color selection. The color I picked up can look a little too ashy on me at times, but other than that, I do really like and intend to continue to use this eye pencil.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette – This is essentially one of my favorite palettes that I’ve ever purchased, and probably one of the best quality palettes I own. I love the warm tone shadows (they’re great for blue eyes), and the shadows are fantastic quality. I prefer my shadows to have some kickup, so while that may be a downside to some, to me, that just shows that there’s some pigment to be had.

Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara – I think this mascara has taken the cake on my all time drugstore favorite. I still love Lash Paradise, but this mascara just makes my lashes look so amazing, I basically covet it at this point. It’s volumizing, lengthening, and holds a curl. I can’t get enough of this mascara and how great it looks.

Wet N’ Wild Mega Glo Makeup Stick “When The Nude Strikes” – I really wanted to like this highlighting stick, as I’ve seen pictures where it looks absolutely amazing, but I can’t figure out a way to make this look good. I can’t use it liberally over powder as it lifts my makeup, and it smears my foundation around if I use it before powdering. The color is amazing and I am able to use it as a highlight base, but I still find it to be incredibly lacking.

Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Ink Eye Liner “M-14” – I was so excited for this liner, but it ended up being pretty disappointed overall. It picks up any eyeshadow color under it and turns into a dingy white, and the pigmentation is only good on the initial swipe. This was such a pricy product already, and for being from MUFE, I do expect a lot better.

That’s all I have for you guys today. Please remember to like, comment, and subscribe, it really helps me out. Also don’t forget to have a marvelous Monday!

Stay beautiful!
