January Empties: Would I Repurchase?

“The good life is one inspired by love and guided by knowledge”

Hello my lovelies!

I’m back with another empties post! I don’t have a ton of products to feature for this post, but I had just enough to make it worthwhile to publish.

A quick thank you to everyone who showed me so much love on my last blog post, and a huge congratulations to everyone I nominated. Here’s hoping you can take the time to pass it forward!

Empties:

JanuaryEmpties

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel –

This is a pretty decent cleanser overall, but I personally don’t think it’s anything to go crazy over. I prefer gel cleansers to cream because of my oily, acne prone skin, and while this did keep my face clean and still moisturized, it didn’t really improve much else.

Would I repurchase: No!

Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm –

I very much enjoyed this mini version of the eye balm. It lasted for ages, was great for my fine lines and darkness, and felt incredibly soothing. The only downside is the price tag, at $68.00. I’m always looking to try new things, so this won’t be an immediate purchase, but it is definitely a contender for one of the best eye creams I’ve used.

Would I repurchase: Yes!

Clinique Pep Start Eye Cream –

For a product that won an Allure Best of Beauty award, I really thought this eye cream would exceed my expectations. It did add moisture to my under eye area, but had no other benefits to speak of. The mini size also did not last long enough for me to formulate a very thorough opinion, even though I only used it during the morning time.

Would I repurchase: No!

Marcelle Hydra-C Eye Contouur Gel Cream –

I think this is a great eye cream if you struggle with puffiness. While puffiness is not usually a problem that I have, I did wake up one day after a very long night and threw this on in the morning to try and counteract my tired, puffy under eye circles, and it did the trick. I didn’t really notice any other benefits, but I wouldn’t go so far as to say it doesn’t work.

Would I repurchase: No!

St. Ives Naturally Indulgent Body Lotion Coconut Milk & Orchid Extract –

I liked the fact that this was a very quick drying lotion and smelled great, however, it did not do a whole lot in the way of moisturizing for me. If you don’t have a lot of trouble with dry skin, I would highly suggest incorporating this into your routine, as it’s fast drying and easy to use. If you are like me and have problems with very dry body skin, you can get away with using this, but not as an every day solution.

Would I repurchase: No!

No 7 Beautifully Matte Foundation –

Why is everyone sleeping on this brand?! This was one of the most full coverage foundations I have ever tried, and lasted for ages since a little goes a long way. I loved mixing this into my other foundations to help increase coverage and to mattify my face. I will say that the shade range is absolute shit for anyone of darker complexion, however if you do manage to find your shade, I would highly recommend checking it out.

Would I repurchase: Yes!

Covergirl Peacock Flare Mascara –

I really wanted to like this mascara, but at the end of the day, the cons outweigh the pros. When this mascara wasn’t busy being difficult, it gave me such a beautiful fanned out effect that no other mascara has done for me. When this mascara was being problematic, it clumped horribly, the brush stabbed me in the eyeball constantly, and looked worse the more I tried to fix it. I will note that this is a drier formula which is not what I prefer, as I find them harder to work with. I don’t think this mascara is horrible, it’s actually great if you play your cards right, I just can’t tolerate the inconsistency of this product.

Would I repurchase: No!

That’s all I have for you guys today. Please remember to like, comment, and subscribe, it really helps me out. Also don’t forget to have a fabulous Friday!

Stay beautiful!

I haven’t tried much from them honestly! I received the eye cream in a Birchbox and ended up really liking it, so I think i might have to explore more of the brand.

Yes! I don’t know why people don’t talk about it more! I constantly sell the skincare to guests at Target, and this foundation was amazing for someone as oily as me. It’s such an underrated brand overall.
