Yet another product I made a Instagram post about. Originally, I actually had no idea that this product existed, until my cousin mentioned it to me. While I’m not always a huge fan of Clinique products, I was intrigued by this new product, as well as the entire line, and decided to try the base product for you guys today.

Ingredients:

Octinoxate 7.5% Octisalate 2.0% Titanium Dioxide 1.6% (active ingredients) water\aqua\eau • methyl trimethicone • alcohol • ethylhexyl palmitate • peg-9 polydimethylsiloxyethyl dimethicone • propanediol • glycerin • glyceryl caprylate • peg-3 dimethicone • dimethicone • tocopheryl acetate • lecithin • triethoxycaprylylsilane • stearyl glycyrrhetinate • sorbitan sesquiisostearate • sodium hyaluronate • pyridoxine hcl • palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7 • dipeptide-2 • stearic acid • hesperidin methyl chalcone • sodium chloride • aluminum hydroxide • steareth-20 • silica • sodium citrate • phenoxyethanol • [+/- mica • iron oxides (ci 77491) • iron oxides (ci 77492) • iron oxides (ci 77499) • titanium dioxide (ci 77891)] [iln43830]

The ingredient I find most concerning is the alcohol, however this is up to each individual person. In my case, the alcohol is not an irritant, and is actually helpful with my acne spots that are rising to the surface.

Claims:

This product claims to withstand any workout, and looks great afterward. It is lightweight, sweat and humidity proof, and provides a natural-matte finish. This product additionally claims to last up 12 hours, and will not clog your pores.

How To Use:

  1. Shake the bottle well
  2. Use a brush or fingertips to spread the product, starting from the center and blending outward

My Results:

CliniqueFace1

Left to right: Before and after application

CliniqueFace2

Left to right: Just before working out and after working out, in lowlight

CliniqueFace3

Top to bottom: Coverage in highlight and lowlight

Would I Recommend it:

I was very pleasantly surprised by this product, and I would highlight recommend it for use, even for a light daily application.

While it is apparent in the lowlight picture that I was sweaty after my workout, this product stayed matte all day previously, and did not slide around on my face after my workout.  I would say that for me, this product has a sheer to medium coverage, but is great at correcting the redness of my acne.

The one overall downside to this product, is the tiny shade range. While I am able to use Light, it does not actually match my skintone. Because the coverage is so light, this fact isn’t obvious, but four shades is not going to cover every person under the Sun. Conversely, Deep does not appear to be all the deep, and I question how well it would work for black individuals.

All in all, I would very much recommend this product, especially for a person who exercises with some regularity. It’s easy to use, stays on nicely, and looks great before AND after a workout. While the shade range (or lack thereof) isn’t my favorite, I do genuinely enjoy the finish and quality of this product and absolutely plan to use it many times in the future.

That’s all I have for you guys today. Please remember to like, comment, and subscribe, it really helps me out. Also don’t forget to have an awesome Saturday.

Stay beautiful!
