July Digs and Duds

Hello my lovelies!

I may be a little late this time, but I would never forget another round of digs and duds. Unfortunately, I was so ridiculously busy this past month, that I don’t have a ton of new products, but regardless, I have some exciting items to share!

Let’s get started:

Mara Hoffman for Sephora Collection: Kaleidescape Charcoal Brush Set – First off, the packaging of this product 100%. I love the pattern and wood handle mix of these brushes, and the brush hair quality is to die for. These brushes pick up and deposit product like a dream, especially the face brushes. If you are looking for some fun yet high quality brushes, these are absolutely it. This set comes with an allover face brush, a cheek brush, a highlight brush, a shadow brush, and a crease brush ($64.00 at Sephora).

Rimmel London Match Perfection 2-in-1 Skintone Adapting Concealer and Highlighter – While that is quite the name for a product, I adore everything about this concealer. Not only is the applicator awesome with a brush tip, but the formula and its light, airy creaminess is to die for. Surprisingly, the lightest shade does highlight for me, which I consider a great accomplishment for a drugstore item. Unfortunately, like many Rimmel products, there isn’t a huge color range for anyone much darker than your standard tan, but the actual product is fantastic nonetheless ($5.99 at Ulta).

Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder in Golden Light – This bronzer has the most creamy and beautiful texture to it, and the actual color is amazing. Thankfully, this shade does not come out looking super orange on me, which I consider a huge bonus for someone as pale as myself. While I do enjoy that I am, for once, not THE lightest shade in a product (there’s lighter shades for those of you paler!), I am slightly disappointed that the darkest shade isn’t very dark, and would definitely not work for any of my chocolate girls and boys out there ($42.00 at Sephora).

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Natural Beauty and Dollface – If you are looking for a blush that is super pigmented AND lasts forever, look no further. This blush will seriously stay on your face until you force it off, and the color payoff is amazing, so much so, that it’s easy to overdo it on occasion. The color range is awesome an can work for anyone, especially colors like Natural Beauty, with its red tones ($28.00 at Sephora).

Too Faced Lip Injection Glossy in Milkshake – Initially, I was somewhat disappointed in this product because it seemed to lack pigment. However, after using it more often, I’ve decided that I enjoy the lack of pigment, as the plumping sensation gives my lips a more natural pink look as it does its magic. This is a plumping product, so you will absolutely feel a slight burning and tingling sensation, but it is definitely manageable, and the results are beautiful ($22.00 at Sephora).

Michael Kors Sadie Pilot Sunglasses – I only bought these about two weeks ago, but the moment I saw them, I knew I needed them. I love the reflectiveness of these shades, and the gold metal frame with a pop of print is so beautiful. These are the perfect aviator sunglasses for the classic girly girl ($185.00 at Michael Kors).

Sucker for Pain by Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa and Imagine Dragons, featuring Logic, Ty Dolla $ign, and X Ambassadors – Again, quite the mouthful, but I really enjoy listening to this song. The lyrics are slightly dark, but that doesn’t bother me at all, because to me it’s…creative? That’s the best way I can describe this song; creative. There’s some singing, some rapping, like the kitchen sink of the music world. This song is featured on the Suicide Squad Album, so if you’re interested, you can find it there.

Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer for Fair to Medium Skintones, Jergens Natural Glow Instant Sun Sunless Tanning Mousse in Light Bronze – I really wanted to like these products because I am a major fan of Jergens, but these just didn’t work for me. The major problem is that I am allergic to large amounts of glycerin, and both products list glycerin as the second ingredient. Ergo, these two products give me intense rashes that are painful and take days to go away. Despite this, I did genuinely like the color these gave me, but it’s just damn near impossible for me to use them!

That’s all I have for you guys today. Please remember to like, comment, and subscribe, it helps me out a ton. Also don’t forget to have a lovely end to your week.

Stay Beautiful!
